How many iPads can we install your apps on in school?

DSE's iPad apps are sold through Apple's App Store, where our developer page lists them all. App Store purchases are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. These permit individuals to use apps for personal, noncommercial purposes on any device that they own or control. For organizations, however, the terms permit only use by a single individual on one or more devices, or use by multiple individuals on a single device.

A school that wants to use an app with several children on several iPads therefore needs a license for each iPad. The practical way to buy these licenses is through Apps and Books in Apple School Manager, Apple's free portal for schools, colleges and districts. The licenses belong to the school, which can assign them to iPads and reassign them later.

In Apps and Books, an educational institution that buys 20 or more copies of one of our apps in an order pays 50% of that app's listed price. Apple decides which institutions are eligible. Apps and Books is not available in every country, and Apple lists the countries where Apps and Books is available, and the payment methods for each.
