Down Syndrome Research Forum 2025

The Down Syndrome Research Forum 2025 is being held online on 17, 18 and 19 March. The forum offers academic researchers, professional practitioners and parents the opportunity to share and discuss current research, recent findings, and implications for practice.

The Down Syndrome Research Forum is an established, international meeting of researchers and practitioners interested in advances in our understanding of how to best meet the developmental and educational needs of children with Down syndrome. The event is sponsored by Down Syndrome Education International and hosted annually in partnership with researchers active in the field.

Recordings

We will record sessions presented at the forum. These recordings will be available to registered participants to view for a period of one month after the event.

Attendance

The Down Syndrome Research Forum is aimed primarily at researchers and professionals. We also welcome parents and other family members who are interested in current and future scientific research. The programme provides detail about the content of each session with links to the abstracts. Please note that the sessions will only include a limited period of time for questions and that presenters will not be able to provide general advice or comment on individual circumstances.

Dates and time zone

The event is being hosted from the UK over three days (17, 18 and 19 March). At this time, Europe will not have begun summer time and the time in the UK will therefore be Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) (the same as Greenwich Mean Time), which is 1 hour behind Central European Time (CET). North America will have moved to daylight time (on March 9), and so UK time will be 4 hours behind US Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), and 7 hours behind US Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

Please note: as Europe will not have moved to summer/daylight time on these dates, while North America will have, the time difference between the UK and North America will be 1 hour less than usual (4 hours for the East Coast, rather than 5, and 7 hours for the West Coast, rather than 8).
