Terms of use - progress trackers and advice services
DSE's progress trackers and advice services offer convenient recording of children's developmental milestones and achievements, monitoring of progress over time, and advice and support that is personalised for each child.
These Terms and Conditions of Use of Progress Trackers and Advice Services (the “Terms of Use of Progress Trackers”) apply to the use of software, services and applications to create and update progress trackers and to access personalised advice. The Terms of Use of Progress Trackers include and supplement our standard Terms and Conditions of Use of Online Services and Privacy Policy.
When using our progress trackers and advice services, we ask you to agree to these terms, including our standard terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our progress trackers and advice services.

Your privacy and your data
The security of your data and of your child's (or your student's or client's) data, and the protection of your privacy are very important to us. Our progress tracking and advice services are carefully designed to protect your information and to enable you to control what you share.
When you use our progress tracking and advice services, we store information about your child's developmental and educational achievements and progress over time. This information enables us to provide you with convenient access to your child's developmental history, and to provide advice and support that is specifically personalised for your child.
You are in control of what information is stored in our progress tracking services and what information is shared with people you trust.
Storing and processing personal data to provide the services
To provide progress tracking and advice services, we require your consent to store and process your personal data and your child's (or your student's or client's) personal data.
We will store information that you provide about your child to provide progress tracking services and advice to you. We will store your personal data and your child's personal data securely. We will not share your personal data or your child's personal data with other people without your explicit consent.
Storing and processing data for scientific research
We also request your consent to use your personal data and your child's personal data for scientific research that aims to improve our understanding of children's development and learning and effective teaching strategies. This includes scientific research conducted by us and by trusted research partners.
Sharing anonymised data and consent for research participation
Data shared with trusted research partners will be anonymised, except where the research study requires data that may be personally identifiable. You agree to us storing, processing and sharing anonymised data trusted research partners for scientific research that aims to improve our understanding of children's development and learning and effective teaching strategies.
In circumstances where the research study requires data that may be personally identifiable, we will only share the (non-anonymised) data when (a) the research partners have obtained appropriate ethical approvals for their studies and (b) you have given explicit consent to participate in the research study.
We may compile anonymised data sets that include information that you have provided to us about you and your child. When data is fully anonymised, it contains no information that could directly or indirectly be used to identify you or your child. We may share fully anonymised data sets openly with research partners.
Deleting your personal data
You may choose to delete your progress tracker at any time. When you do so, your personal data and your child's personal data will no longer be accessible to you or to anyone with whom you have shared access to the progress tracker. Information that relates to the management of the progress tracker and advice services will be removed from our systems. We will continue to store personal data that supports continuing scientific research. This data will no longer include your names or references to your deleted progress tracker.
Accuracy of information recorded
The progress tracking and advice services that we provide rely on the information that you provide about your child. You may invite other trusted people to contribute information. When you do so, you should continue to monitor the information provided to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
Your consent
We will ask for your consent to these terms when you create a progress tracker in one of our applications.
Your continued use of our progress tracking and advice services will confirm your continued agreement to these terms. Should you wish to withdraw consent, please stop using the progress tracking and advice services.
