Down Syndrome Research Forum 2024

The Down Syndrome Research Forum 2024 is being held online on 25 and 26 April. The forum offers academic researchers and professional practitioners the opportunity to share and discuss current research, recent findings, and implications for practice.

The Down Syndrome Research Forum is an established, international meeting of researchers and practitioners interested in advances in our understanding of how to best meet the developmental and educational needs of children with Down syndrome. The event is sponsored by Down Syndrome Education International and hosted annually in partnership with researchers active in the field.

Dates and time zone

The event is being hosted from the UK over two days (25 and 26 April). British Summer Time (BST) is 1 hour ahead of UTC, 1 hour behind Central European Summer Time (CEST), 5 hours behind US Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), and 8 hours behind US Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

We will record the sessions held in this year's online forum. These recordings will be available to registered participants to review for a period of one month after the event. Please note that, due to privacy and research data reporting considerations, we will not be making these recordings available more widely.

The Down Syndrome Research Forum is aimed primarily at researchers and professionals. We also welcome parents and other family members who are interested in the detail of current and future research. The programme provides detail about the content of each session with links to the abstracts. Please note that the sessions will only include a limited period of time for questions and that presenters will not be able to provide general advice or comment on individual circumstances.
