2021 Online Down Syndrome Research Forum

The Down Syndrome Research Forum 2021 is being held online on 11 and 12 March. The forum offers academic researchers and professional practitioners the opportunity to share and discuss current research, recent findings, and implications for practice.

Following the postponement of the 2020 forum, the Down Syndrome Research Forum 2021 will be held online on 11th and 12th March, 2021. The Down Syndrome Research Forum 2021 will be hosted by Down Syndrome Education International with support from Dr Kelly Burgoyne (University of Manchester, UK) and Laura Diprossimo (Lancaster University, UK).

This year we are moving to an online format in response to the global pandemic. We will be hosting the meeting on Zoom where presenters will present to participants around the world. There will be opportunities to submit questions and participate in discussions. We will also be making recordings of most of the sessions available to registered participants after the event for a period of one month

The event is being hosted from the UK over two days. The live sessions will begin each day at 09:00 (9.00am) UK time (GMT/UTC/+0:00). In early March, the UK will be 1 hour behind Central European Time, 5 hours ahead of US Eastern Time and 11 hours behind Australian Eastern Daylight Time.

Programme and registration

The event has now ended. However, the programme and abstracts are available.

Recordings

We will record most of the sessions held in this year's online forum. These recordings will be available to registered participants to review for a period of one month after the event. Please note that, due to privacy and research data reporting considerations, we will not be making these recordings available more widely.
